🛑 KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!
Yesterday’s water samples across our 14 monitored sites brought in a mixed bag of E. coli results.
⚠️ Notably, the high bacteria levels were widespread: in every single county we monitor (Clarke, Warren, Page, and Shenandoah), there was at least one site that exceeded the EPA’s recommended safety threshold for primary body-contact recreation of 235 CFU per 100 mL of water.
Your donation keeps FOSR’s “KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!” program running so we can track these unpredictable spikes and give your family the real-time, site-specific data needed whether you are paddling, fishing, playing, or simply relaxing in the river.
