💧Drought conditions continue, causing decreasing water levels, as pictured. On the bright side, the measured E. coli levels at all the South Fork, North Fork and Main-stem River sites tested were well below the threshold for body-contact recreational activities.
⚠️However, Hawksbill creek exceeded the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) recommended freshwater Beach Action Value (BAV) of 235 CFUs, continuing its trend of high readings.

Monitored Site Exceeding Threshold
| Location | Site Details | E. coli Level (CFU/100 mL) |
| Hawksbill Creek | Luray-Hawksbill Greenway Pocket Park, Luray, Page County, VA | 816.4 |
Alert Threshold Reminder: The recommended limit for body-contact recreational activities (like swimming, tubing, or wading) is 235 CFU (Colony Forming Units) per 100 mL of water.
