Join Us at Upcoming Earth Day Inspired Events

Get ready to roll up your sleeves and make a real impact this Earth Day! The Friends of the Shenandoah River, together with a passionate group of environmental organizations, are coming together to offer an exciting lineup of activities that YOU can be a part of to celebrate and protect our planet.

Join us for two action-packed river clean-ups this April, hosted by The Friends of the Shenandoah River in partnership with Community Works 4Page. The first clean-up will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Alma Boat Landing on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River in Stanley, Page County, VA. Then, we’re back at it on Tuesday, April 8th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Shenandoah Landing and River Park on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River in the Town of Shenandoah, VA.

We’ll have light snacks and refreshing drinks ready to fuel your efforts while you help keep our rivers pristine. And this is just the beginning! These clean-ups are part of the Potomac Riverkeeper Network’s Trash Free Shenandoah campaign, a powerful, collaborative initiative to restore and protect the beauty of our river systems.
