Good news for the Shenandoah River sites we tested on June 4! All 13 public access sites showed E. coli levels below the EPA’s recommended safety threshold for recreational use of 235 CFU/100mL. However, at Hawksbill Creek at the Luray-Hawksbill Greenway Pocket Park in Page County, VA. E. coli levels reached 344.1 CFU/100mL. This indicates a potential health risk for those playing in the creek.
